"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap. "He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness. Consider with me today God's desire to have His people be set apart and holy. Throughout the Old Testament, the Lord repeats this desire, giving His people laws and guiding them to be a people set apart from the rest of the evil world. Deuteronomy 14 is a great example of this.
This desire still applies to His people today. He has given His Holy Spirit and the Church to set us apart together, that we may glorify Him here on earth. Join me in abiding moment by moment with Jesus, that we may become more like him every day.
