Have you ever experienced a start to the day that seemed to just bring one frustrating thing after another? When we experience tiredness from a late night, interruptions to the morning, and spilled coffee, it is so easy to resign ourselves to the thought, "This is going to be a bad day."
However, when we allow ourselves to fall into that mindset, it almost sets us up for a negative outlook on the rest of the day, for more bag things to happen. If we allow it to, our minds can easily only dwell on the bad and negative things we experience, However, We have a choice in the crummy days and in the good days to submit everything to the Lord.
Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers, whatever true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is anything excellent, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Let's make a choice today, no matter what kind of day it is, to think about the things listed in this passage. Let's make a choice to submit to the Lord the negative thoughts and feelings we are tempted with, and instead fill our minds with Truth, things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
