Guard Your Heart

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

My dad had to go in for bypass open-heart surgery this morning. He is currently in the ICU and should wake up any minute now. Please be in prayer for my dad Darryl, the doctors and nurses, and the whole Ammons family.

I am so thankful for all the encouragement we have received today during this tough time. I wanted to pass along a few verses that have been helpful to me in this tough time. I hope they will be encouraging to you in whatever hard time you may be enduring.

Let the peace of God guard your heart and your mind.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:7

Our situation may change, but God remains the same forever.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

We are eternally secure in Christ.

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5
