Matthew 6:31-34
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Do you ever wish that you could be a kid again? Like a little puppy in the snow, young children go about their day with curiosity and excitement about the smallest things. Many children at play are worry free and content.
As we get older and acquire more responsibility, worry starts to knock at our door. The temptation to worry is significant. The temptation to worry is real. And, the temptation to worry can stop at that, A TEMPTATION. God shares with us that we do not need to be anxious about ANYTHING.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7
Isn’t it awesome that we can trust God with our temptations of worry. God is in control and we can trust that He is holding our future. Worry has no seat at our table.
Join me in approaching the day with curiosity, excitement, and peace, knowing that we have freedom and contentment in Christ. Our Heavenly Father is working everything out for good, for those who are in Christ Jesus!
