Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice. The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
Proverbs 16:8-9
As most of us have learned so far in the year 2020, events don't always play out the way we planned them. For us, we planned on having Extreme Kansas Camp out at Milford Lake State Park as is has been for the past 14 years. Instead, we are in the middle of preparing for backpacking trips and have been training our D-Team on how to be disciples who make disciples...no matter what the circumstances are.
As the verse above tells us, we can make plans, but the Lord will ultimately direct our steps along the path He desires for us. Sometimes, it can be tough and disappointing to have our plans, goals, and preparations fall through. However, this verse tells us that the truly important thing, even in circumstances we didn't plan on, is righteousness. It is far better to have little and walk in the way that is RIGHT, than to have OUR plans be fulfilled and to have much.
When we obey what God says and do what is right, we will find PEACE, far greater than if the plans we make for ourselves go accordingly.
We continue to pray and follow God's lead as He directs our steps this Summer, to invest in Summer Interns and help them invest in others on their path, and to seek to do what is right.
We encourage you to join us in finding those on your natural path of life to encourage and invest in on the journey God has you on.
