The “peaceful pathway” includes three BOLD moves on your part. They are: - RECALIBRATE - ALIGN - ACT Recalibrating continues to be the bold move that we are working to focus on and live out. As a review, this includes (1) Being Still in Prayer, (2) Listening in Prayer, and (3) Evaluating. As we continue to practice these steps, it is a particularly crucial time to practice evaluating the loads of information we are taking in during this time of Covid-19. We are seeing two extremes these days. Some are receiving information overload and others have shut themselves off from the informed world. Free information is being offered at an unprecedented proportion in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis. In order to recalibrate, it is important to EVALUATE what information we are taking in and how much of it. What are we seeing, hearing, processing, following, and even believing? This is an area where it is vital to DAILY be still before the Lord, listening to Him through prayer and through His word, and take time to evaluate the information we may not even realize we are taking in during our hurried, daily lives. Consider replacing some information intake time with some Be Still and Know God time. It can be difficult to know where to focus our mind and heart amid the numerous, loud signals being sent our way. But let us not forget where to find TRUTH that is a solid rock to stand on when we are not sure where to focus our attention or what to be pursuing. God's Word! Psalm 119:105 says that, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." In the mess of information overload, let’s be intentional to focus on truth and let it transform us. Please join me in Being Still, Listening, and intentionally Evaluating the information we are bombarded with, while seeking God's word to ground us and guide us during these times.
We will continue to be praying for any specific prayer request you send our way on Sunday mornings. Please send your specific prayer requests to extremencounters@icloud.com.
God is in control, and with His help, WE WILL get through this.
